On Love and Marriage
2010
Who do you love? How do you love? How do you define marriage? These were the questions AtticRep asked as they moved through the process of creating 2010’s Forum Theatre Project.
The debate over the right to marry continues across the country. This project focused on what it is to love and to marry in San Antonio. A diverse group of married, single, divorced, gay, straight and creative individuals form AtticRep’s Forum Theatre Project ensemble listened to the stories of the diverse residents of San Antonio and created a theatrical performance designed to activate dialogue and make personal the effects of this cultural divide. The March 11 and 12 performances were at Trinity University’s Attic Theater, and on March 13, AtticRep took the conversation to the streets of San Antonio and LUMINARIA.
